Clent Morris stopped driving several years ago, sometime in his early to mid 80s, and when he needed a ride, Cheryl Jones was there for him.
The two were neighbors on Sheridan Avenue in Trenton, not a block from city police headquarters, and Jones looked after Morris, who lived alone, taking him on errands or to medical appointments.
“She was the one who took him everywhere. My mother did it when he had one else to,” her son Carl Jones said.
“My mother was the only one who helped him,” added his sister, Latasha Jones.
