Woman and her dog are shot dead while trying to help a friend leave an abusive relationship as cops hunt 'boyfriend who fled the scene'

The woman, in her 20s, was helping her friend escape from domestic violence at an apartment in Springs, Texas. The friend's boyfriend, Dmitri Humphrey (pictured) fled in a white Jeep Wrangler.
