THE ANNUAL May Fayre that takes place in the Wokingham Town Centre has had to be cancelled for the second year in a row due to coronavirus restrictions.
Event organisers the Wokingham Lions Club announced the cancellation on Sunday, January 24, following a consultation with local authorities.
The fayre, one of the largest street fairs in the South East, was set to take place on May 3 this year but has now been cancelled for the second year in a row.
Ian Grange, May Fayre organiser, said: “Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we must protect the health and safety of the public.
