Dr. Manny is here. They have a lot of activities before they start classes. Sports dont get me started on this. I this is something ive been saying for years, and im glad the cdc is reminding school systems. When you have kids waking up at 6 00 in the morning, sometimes earlier, they have to commute, get the bus, whatever, most schools they looked at 40something states. They dont start everybody starts earlier than 8 30. Average time, 7 40 in the morning. Sometimes even earlier than that, guys. And what happens is with all the work they do, you know, the argument is, well, listen, parents have to go to work. They want to get the kids. Teachers want out by 3 00. Early. Kids are too tired in the morning to wake up and go to class and try to remember. We always say that sleepy kids, when theyre in class, theyre not learning anything. They might be quiet because theyre sleeping sleep deprived, but theyre not learning anything. If you look at other states and other countries, by the way, they have a far more flexible school time start in the morning. Sometimes they batch it in different directions. But the later start time, 8 30, should be the Gold Standard, minimum Gold Standard for all schools to adhere to. The federal government is reminding everybody to do it. The problem is its not regulated by the state or the federal commissioners. Its regulated by the School Boards in the different districts. What are you going to do . Theyll do what they want. Its a terrible, terrible idea. Kids, im with you. Dari some kids stay up really, really late finishing homework. Lets talk about this. Blueberries and green leafy vegetables can keep your brain young . We know that diet alters our metabolism and we say this for the prevention of diabetes and heart disease. Older folks in their 50s, 60s and 70s, when they have sort of a mind diet, a modification of the mediterranean diets, grains, leafy greens, olive oils, blueberries, wine, wine is on the list, that i didnt make up the diet. This is the government talking. Wine. All of those things really prevent the brain from aging. If you look statistically, if you stick to the types of mediterranean style diets with nuts and grains, that improves your brain age by over seven years. You kind of stop the aging process. When you pollute your brain with margarine and refined carbs and processed foods dari and escargot, weve got you. Youre polluting your brain and clogging everything and, of course, youre going to get into trouble. Wine, one more time. Dari thanks for the government when it comes to wine. I didnt say it.
