Western Michigan Universityâs Sindecuse Health Center is offering two by-appointment COVID-19 student vaccination clinics at the Student Recreation Center this week, per an email from WMU COVID-19 InformationÂ
The clinics are set to take place Wednesday, April 14 from noon to 4 p.m., and Thursday, April 15 from 8 a.m. to noon.Â
WMU will distribute the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, which is approved for individuals 16 years of age and older.Â
The health center originally received a supply of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, but was removed due to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommending a pause on the vaccine. This comes after over six recipients reported cases of a "rare and severe" type of blood clot.
