easter weekend. and it's looking like, you know, the run is going to start here by mid week or so. today though a little chilly. we are looking at sunshine, blue skies, but a cool breeze coming in from the north. it's helping to keep our temperatures down a little bit at least for today and into tomorrow. then we start a bit of a transition. 30 right now is our temperature at bwi marshal, 14 the dew point, relative humidity 50%, wind from the north at 3 miles per hour. the barometer, rising, temperatures in the toss, 25 in oakland, 28 in bel air, 34 in kent island and 35 in annapolis. everyone just love freezing now for the most part or close to it. we're not going to go up above our normal temperature for this time of year. close to 50 degrees. we'll level out at 50. the culprit you're looking at it here the cold wind from the north is coming around high pressure sitting up just north of the great lakes, southeastern canada. it is the cold air wrapped around the high that is bringing us chilly temperatures. we're tapped into the same cold air they are in detroit, chicago, boston, everyone pretty much in those colder -- under the colder air mass. the milder temperatures heading to ward atlanta, kansas city, start to see temperatures in the 40s. we are all going to be really leveling out here by mid week. our next rain maker is here tomorrow afternoon, moving across the plains states. this will get here, start to see the clouds increase by tomorrow afternoon. would not be surprised to see showers in our western states by tomorrow afternoon. lingers through tomorrow evening into monday. and then we'll start to see clearing. with this front coming through, we'll see milder air lift up into the region. we'll see rain staying with us, temps will start to level out in the 50s and 60s, warmer air comes in behind it. with that warmer air, we hop leaps and bounds over these 50s and 60s and 70s almost into 80s by next week. our next high tide is the forth mchenry is 5:23, with a northeast wind on the bay at ten knots, bay temperature right now 47 degrees. only going to 50 today with sunshine, 33 tonight, with a moonlit sky and a good bit of star light out there. and then breezy with increasing clouds tomorrow. rain in the afternoon, 52 degrees our daytime high. for the next few days, we are going up to 61 on monday, 56 on tuesday. 64 on wednesday, 72 on thursday. the trend continues again upper 70s to near 80 degrees by friday into saturday. this is a trend we like. >> we like this one. we wish we could keep this for a while. >> hold on. hold on. >> hold on as long as we can. >> there is more to come on eyewitness news saturday morning. a mysterious find. where a world war ii era plane was discovered and how it may have gotten there. nba star learns his sentence, will there be jail time for washington wizards guard, gilbert arenas? >> i know we're always looking for great acts. we're excited about the acts we have today. we have the regulators, we have a couple musicians, a couple of magicians. so an assort. of street performers at harbor place. >> reporter: how many people will perform down here throughout the year? >> we have 30 performers on our roster, we don't need acts but we're looking for great talent all the time. >> what time are auditions is it public, how many will show up? >> everyone is invited to join us starting at noon. we'll be here until 2:00. we're looking at about ten acts today. the regulators and tubolt is not one of your performers. he is auditioning. this is the type of caliber who are auditioning, how good are the folks employed? >> it is going to be a great day, everyone should come out and check out performers for this year. >> reporter: i'm going to slide over to him and keep my distance. what is it that you are doing right now? man of many talents? >> this in itself is popping, and that's more so popping, my personal form. every street dancer, every performer, everybody has a personal style within the form they find. 'cause street dancing is an art, something that's been in baltimore for years. >> reporter: you're a baltimore bullet? >> born and raised here. excuse me. a crew, we are auditioning, you know to connect with the community. we're putting in the work. we're to have an original cultural activity going on day and night, people who devote themselves to a dance artform, they express themselves. it's a way to make a family, to make friends, and find a talent you didn't know you had. >> reporter: so he also does this for the schools. he does workshops. will teach people. when we come back in a that's not the only change. these old signs are gone, replaced in january with computer screens. the baltimore aberdeen and new carrollton stations are part of amtrak's pilot program to ding advertise the nationwide system. they say it's necessary to comply with the americans with disabilities act. an automated voice will announce changes and departures at the act same time the computerized screen changes to help the visually impaired. some passengers say the changes disrupt the station's ambience. >> it's more efficient, but it's less i guess nostologic. >> i like the older one better. >> reporter: after the transition sharon will still have a job and knows there may be emergencies. >> i'm not sure it will be foolproof, every now and then i might have to step in. >> reporter: demonstrating outside the basilica. suzanne collins reports supporters are turning to the radio to criticize the baltimore archdiocese. >> reporter: the announcement that the archdiocese would close 13 area baltimore schools, has many parents, teachers and students upset, they're paying and praying for airtime. >> reporter: ascension school and cardinal gibbons hold a candlelight vigil. they learned their schools are among the schools to close. >> stop this educational bloodletting. >> you have to keep fighting, can't stop fighting. >> reporter: the archdiocese rejected a proposal from gibbons supporters to turn that high school into an independent catholic school. some parents feel the church leaders gave them false hope. >> they said there were options on the table when there was a large group and then when the small group was there, there were no options on the table. >> reporter: there is another controversial, request. calling for a boycott on tithes. >> i'm asking for you to withhold or reduce your contributions to the church. >> reporter: this concrete contractor has paid on five radio stations, he says the archbishop is a fine man but very ill advised on the school closing. >> the archbishop's solution to the financial problem is appalling. i cannot sit by and let the children of our city schools suffer to remedy our fiscal woes. >> reporter: the owner of the has adopted a city catholic school that's closing and running camps for needy kids. he says the archdiocese should have been raising money for schools instead of raising money for the basilica. the archdiocese says it will hurt the charity work. >> he is telling people to decrease contributions, that only hurts the people we serve. >> i've seen a great many intelligent people asking ask well educated people ask for good faith negotiations since this happened and they're not getting it. the only thing they're getting is no. >> reporter: schuster and others say they will give $700,000 to the archdiocese if they will keep open six baltimore city catholic schools. back to you on tv hill. >> thank you, suzanne. the archdiocese says it has tried to meet with schuster since the radio ads began. schuster says he has not heard from them. family and friends will say goodbye to a man who was gunned down on his way to work. carlos williams was shot several times in his comcast repair truck on sunday. no arrests have been made. his family will hold a funeral later this morning at the antioch baptist church on st. paul street. comcast workers say they will be there also enforce to give williams a 100 truck processio police arrested 15 men in what federal agents are calling a $20 million theft ring in baltimore city and county. federal agents raided more than 30 local pawn shops on thursday. investigators federal investigators say the shops were selling stolen products that had been shop lifted or taken from delivery trucks. some items were also resold to consumers on the internet. >> it's a massive criminal operation that was preying on businesses and consumers in baltimore county. and the u.s. government took money from more than nearly 60 bank accounts as a result of the federal seizure warrant. federal investigators say more arrests may be on the way. and an investigation continues in the valley state park after a train derails during the baltimore howard county line. csx officials say eight cars went off the tracks around 8:00 friday morning. the train was traveling from cumberland to philadelphia. csx is looking into the cause. no one was hurt. maryland pilot richard dryer is fortunate to be alive after his single engine plane crash procession. landed in the south river. but the site of the aircraft going down thursday had callers flooding the 911 system. >> an airplane just crashed. >> he just went right behind, i don't know if he went in the water or hit the mountain. >> i'm on the other side of the trees, i can't see where the guy went. >> you know for sure he went down. >> yes, the plane did not come back up. >> and the 76-year-old pilot refused treatment at the scene. federal investigators say a small mechanical problem caused the sudden drop into the water. county paramedics are on limited duty this morning after they pronounced a man dead when he was really alive. officials say the medics responded to a home in glen ardnin, and pronounced the man dead. more than an hour later investigators saw the man move. paramedics returned and took him to the hospital. no word on his condition right now an internal investigation is underway. an annapolis high school student is fighting for his life after collapsing during a pick up basketball game. friends said he had just received a big scholarship from a local university. >> 18-year-old jeremy blackstone was set to begin howard university in the fall. thee teen's facebook page told friends of a $90,000 scholarship he had recently received. today those friends are sending jeremy get well messages. this after the team suddenly collapsed during a pick up basketball during a friend's birthday party sunday afternoon. jeremy is still in critical condition. >> he was just a really nice guy, general, you could tell with his friends and stuff. it's really sad, yeah. >> doctors believe jeremy may have suffered a heart attack on the basketball court. but his family says jeremy seemed healthy. >> he has a little asthma, but he's a pretty good athlete, good student, goes to school and everything, he hasn't had any major problems. first time open the hospital i believe in his life. >> jeremy is a straight a student at annapolis high school and a student athlete. counselors will be on hand for students who need help. >> he was a well liked student, we have counselors, school psychologists there for all the kids if they want to just talk. >> and jeremy is a member of the national honor society and youth ministry. people have wondered with former governor bob ehrlich will make a run for his old job. he is talking about the speculation with wjz. >> i can't confirm or deny any date today. >> you're not denying? >> i cannot confirm or deny. i've always wanted to say that, by the way. >> i haven't given it a lot of thought. we're focusing on jobs, job creation and improving conditions for businesses to create jobs. it's childish. clearly people with different view. despite all the hedging sources tell wjz ehrlich will run for governor taking on current governor martin alley. ehrlich is expected to make the final announcement on april 7th of the turning now to sports the madness that is march continued last night as duke blue devils took on purdue. it was a tight game through the first half as duke tried not to become the latest top seed to get knocked off of the tournament. in the second half the boilermakers often stalled and duke runs off with it. turns out the final score blue devils 70 boilermakers 57. they play baylor in the elite eight in the next round. on the other half of the bracket, michigan state took on one of the tournament's great teams, northern iowa off a big win against kansas. northern iowa didn't have enough to stop the barton offense. the clock strikes midnight for northern iowa. michigan state wins 59-52 they will face tennessee for a spot in the final four. late games. >> i always are leveling out around freezing, 31 at bwi marshal, 50% relative humidity, north winds are keeping us chilly at 3 miles per hour. the barometer is rising at 30.31. 25 in oakland, 38 in ocean city, everyone somewhere around those temperatures, 30 in columbia, 35 in annapolis, 34 in kent island and in rock hall. 28 in bel air and 33 down in dc. winds are calming down in our western suburbs, we have a 10 miles per hour wind toward the dc suburbs, 12 in pax river and ocean city. calm readings around parts of the area, still when the winds are blowing in from the north we're tapping into this cold air, every one in our region seeing it, boston 25 this morning, 26 in detroit, 34 in chicago. milder temperatures toward kansas city and heading into dallas and down toward the southwest. the plains states are where our next weather make certificate coming from. we will start to see clouds from this disturbance moving into our region by tomorrow afternoon followed by showers. with that we're going to see the temperatures going up a little bit. it takes a lit of a southerly sweep. as moves across the state, it brings warm air into it, mild air to begin with, warmer air follows after this front gets out of here by monday. so with that, temperatures will start to skip up here by tens almost everyday ming into next weekend and by this time next weekend, keep in mind we will be 50 today, 30 degrees warmer this time next weekend than we are right now. this is how it all shapes up, 7:25 is the sunset time, northeast wind on the bay at ten knots. temperatures around 50 degrees it moss? >> we started with a grapevine wreath and added some fresh moss to it by hot glueing it around the base. you can keep it for years to come. these eggs will last forever. they come hollowed out. along with regular hard boiled he can that is you dye like regular easter egg dye and glittering them with glitter. >> if you secure everything, this can be a wreath for the door or a centerpiece
