We begin with a fourth straight day of Severe Weather thats been tearing a path across the country. 23 states hammered by those storms and nearly 900 storm reports in just the last 48 hours. Ginger has been following all of it for us. One of those states arc a. More than 80mileperhour winds knocking over trucks certainly tree limb a lot of folks without all that power and its hot too in a lot of these places. Almost 400 severe storm reports in just the last 24 hours and this morning we even have flash flooding happening in philadelphia. Overnight, lightning striking and transformers blowing from georgia to tennessee. And now an overhead look at the flooding catastrophe in Johnson County kentucky racing floodwaters ripped homes from their foundation and swept them away. Oh my god. Reporter you can see whats left. Homes carried downriver, gutted. Cars tossed. Today, they will again search for the six missing people. Almost 400 severe storm reports including this tornado in central tennessee. Its a nightmare. Reporter and up in western new york. Everything is underwater. Reporter this was a street. Now a channel of swift water ripping through neighborhood. I can just hear somebody screaming. Reporter this woman getting caught up in rushing waters. Rescuers getting to her just in time. She probably would have gone under water. Reporter shes recovering this minor injuries. She was scared to death. The Flash Flood Warning in eastern pennsylvania but also just south of lexington, kentucky also just south of indianapolis. Now, where will the Severe Weather be today . There are three pockets we have to watch for along that same cold front that has such a history of damaging wind and certainly the isolated tornado, you go from parts of georgia back into South Carolina even a little bit of North Carolina and then too back in the northern plain, grand island bismarck all have to be on alert. The isis loyalist in Court Tuesday held without bail and for the first time we hear from him as interrogation tapes are played in court and brian ross here with the story. Good morning, brian. Reporter good morning, the interrogation tape reveals a young man completely committed to isis defending executions and prepared to take actions on its behalf. Because of power of what Alexander Ciccolo said on the tape, the fbi blacked out his face for fear it could be used by isis as propaganda. This was 23yearold Alexander Ciccolo hours after being arrested by the fbi on july 4th as a suspected terrorist. In your mind is all the United States an enemy . Yes. And every person. Yes, its unjust. Reporter for the first time on a tape played in court one of the Young Americans accused of plotting to attack america on behalf of isis defending isis and its gruesome executions. Reporter the fbi says ciccolo wanted to pull off a massacre worse than the Boston Marathon bombing where his own father Boston Police captain Robert Ciccolo was on the scene. They come in with knives and take peoples heads off. They kill enemies. They kilo pressers. You understand. Reporter after watching that tape a federal judge ordered ciccolo held without bail calling him a danger to the community. While some members of his family were present in the court, his father the Police Captain who first tipped off the fbi about him was not there. Amy. Look at this. 61 even in that poll say they view him unfavorably, the largest unfavorable rating by far of any of the candidates. Which may explain why jeb bush has decided to take him on fubore. R he sure has. Bush was in iowa yesterday and he went right at donald trump over those immigration comments. Mr. Trump has every right to have every belief he has. Hes going to run, thats fine but i dont want to be associated with the kind of vitriol that hes spewing out these days. The faafaa imposed unusual restricts on the carrier after one of its planes fell 12,000 feet during an april flight. This really is a highly unusual move by the government really placing a limit on how high an airline can fly its planes because one of them started falling out of the sky. It happened back in april, a skywest United Express flight from denver to Oklahoma City it was at 39,000 feet when the pilot stalled the aircraft. It started falling out of the sky. 12,000 feet before theyned control. Now, flying at altitude the air is a little thinner and the margin of error for pilots is much smaller and you can get into a stall quicker. Now you probably heard of skywest, they fly for some of the Major Airlines flights for united american delta, us airways and alaska airlines. Skywest itself is rejecting the faas statement and is calling this just a slow speed event and it says that the altitude cap for three types of its aircraft they call that a head scratcher. Despite that skywest says it is using this incident to provide additional training to its pilots so george this morning three types of aircraft for skywest can only go so high. The guilty verdict came in from germany for the man known as the bookkeeper of auschwitz. Oscar groene convicted on 3,000 counts of accessory to murder and sentenced to four years in prison. And deliberations get under way this morning in the colorado movie massacre trial after nearly three months and more than 250 witnesses, the jury must decide whether james holmes was insane when he opened fire at that batman premiere killing 12 people. And terrifying moments for a Florida Police officer run down by a car. Look at this. It happened in orlando. The officer approaches the driver with his gun drawn then the passenger runs away. As the officer moves in that direction, the driver is going to slam into him. Theres the passenger running out. The driver will then slam into him flipping him over the hood right there, shots fired. The officer managed to fire off three shots. He is okay. That passenger, however, is still on the run. A scare along a freeway in southern california. Pluto is getting a bit of how do you like me now moment. Heres the first glimpse this morning at a part of the universe that has captured imaginations since its discovery 85 years ago. Nasas new horizons spacecraft sent back these first ever images of plutos surface. Humanitys first glimpse of the former ninth planet farthest from the moon and subject to endless curiosity. The discovery part of a space odyssey thats taken nine years and over 3 billion miles. The new horizons vessel traveled 31,000 Miles Per Hour as it cruised 6,000 miles away from the surface. Pluto was downgraded to a dwarf planet back in 2006 but turns out little pluto is bigger than anyone thought. This mission proving its almost 1500 miles across. All three, two, one. This morning investigators say the alleged mastermind behind a bizarre Northern California kidnapping plot could have even more victims. We were happy to hear that the name had surfaced again. Reporter 38yearold Matthew Muller behind bars accused of breaking into this vallejo home in march and abducting Denise Huskins as she and her boyfriend aaron quinn slept. Muller is now suspected also in a 2009 Home Invasion in palo alto. Police calling them eerily similar. He restrained her, blindfolded her and threatened to rob her and sexually assault her. Reporter police doubted the story. Many saying it resembled the blockbuster gone girl. I feel like i could disappear. Reporter now this morning yet another bizarre turn. According to Court Documents the whole thing may have been a case of mistaken identity. The fbi says huskins abductor told her they were looking for quinns exfiancee saying they target someone for money. Among the items investigators say they found in a storage unit linked to muller duct tape wireless video cameras and drones. Shortly after huskins released the kidnappers emailing this photo to the San Francisco chronicle claiming this is the bed where she was held. The abductors not only taking credit for the disappearance, but expressing remorse writing we are deeply ashamed and regretful of our unforgivable conduct. Mullers Attorney Says his client will plead not guilty and that he suffers from bipolar disorder. The Mental Illness he has suffered is something thats debilitating and has really degraded his entire life. Reporter Vallejo Police called this case a hoax. This morning they are still not apologizing. Does the Vallejo Police department owe this couple an apology . Well evaluate that when the investigation is complete and go from there. Reporter did you drop the ball. I dont believe so no. Reporter yeah police here Still Standing by those comments from four months ago that this whole thing was a waste of valuable city resources. Its unbelievable that now you read through this 59page arrest warrant that comes from the fbi. Its an unbelievable page turner every page you go through and say no way and then this happened and then this happened. They were able to link this back to him because he allegedly tried to do this to somebody else. He leaves his cell phone there. Theyre able to link the cell to him. They then of course get a search warrant, they find what was apparently the stolen computer from these two victims homes and now the fbi are clearly saying looks, weve got all this evidence that links it back so why are they still saying thats my question. How could the police get it so wrong in the first place and what could possibly be served by them digging in now . You know look i think that theyre embarrassed and, look heres their position. Their position is there were inconsistencies in their stories, that the victims stories were not consistent as they talked to them about what happened. Okay maybe they werent. But if what i read in that arrest warrant is true i dont see how the Police Department remember thats an fbi arrest warrant and now talking about a separate local police deparent who is saying we are not conceding that we got it wrong. I spoke to the couples lawyer yesterday. How vulnerable is the Police Department now to a lawsuit . Police departments get things wrong and just because they get things wrong doesnt mean they can get successfully sued. Whats different here are the public statements that they made. And as a result that does make them more vulnerable to possibly lawsuits but sounds like theyre ready to fight it. Dan abrams thanks very much. All right, guy, thanks very much. Reporter the crash happened saturday afternoon as the three were flying from montana to washington state. Investigators say the small plane hit bad weather and slammed into the side of a mountain. The sheriff says the teen stayed the planes wreckage that first night but with no sign of help she started hiking down the mountain following a creek that led to a river. She slept that second night on a sandbar in the water. On monday she kept walking the river until she finally found a road and flagged down a car. Shes amazing. Shes remarkable. This is happening. And me antman. I mean you know little known fact i looked up the comic because i wasnt familiar with it and i didnt realize antman was the Founding Member of the avengers. Thats right. Hank pym, the character Michael Douglas plays who is the original ant mane formed the avengers. What was it like to work with him. Unbelievable. You know there are those people that you kind of hope maybe i would get to meet one day, let alone work with and then you know you get to see kind of how good somebody is really just up close and personal.
