With demise of Confederate statuary bill, efforts to relocate Jackson statue resume

Charleston businessman Howard Swint holds a Confederate flag, with the center of it burned, in front of the Stonewall Jackson statue on the Capitol grounds in Charleston on Jan. 22, 2021. Swint was protesting Gov. Jim Justice’s refusal to address calls to remove the statue, along with a bust of Jackson in the Capitol Rotunda.
