WISCONSIN RAPIDS - The closing of the Verso Mill, traffic jams at railroads and economic growth are some of the key issues for District 1 City Council candidates.
Ryan Austin and Kyle Finup will face off on April 6's nonpartisan general election. Incumbent Joe Zurfluh decided to not seek re-election this year. The race will appear on ballots, along with the race for state superintendent of public instruction.
