Wisconsin GOP bill goes after social media ‘Silicon Valley elites’
Freshman state senator Julian Bradley (R-Franklin) is joining former President Donald Trump in his crusade against private social media companies, AKA “Silicon Valley elites.” On Monday, he unveiled a bill taking on “Big Tech” with six-figure fines for allegedly censoring and stifling “the free exchange of ideas.”
“Free expression is one of the most vital components of our democratic republic,” tweeted Bradley. “That’s why I’m authoring a bill to hold Big Tech social media companies accountable.”

The Senate Republican Twitter account ominously retweeted this adding, “Big Tech & their allies know if they can control speech, they can control ideas. If they can control ideas, they can control elections. If they can control elections, they can control you.”
