Cold, dry air will blast into southern Queensland from tomorrow, with the apparent temperature in the south-east set to plummet to 12C on Monday morning.
Bureau of Meteorology meteorologist Matt Marshall said winds will push cold air from inland southern areas into southern Queensland, with Brisbane residents expected to wake on Monday to the coldest morning so far this year.
Two cold fronts have started moving across Australia’s southern states, with a wintry blast to reach southeast Queensland on Monday morning.
"Air that normally is over New South Wales or even Victoria is basically pushing up into southeast Queensland," he said.
