Winter wonderland: Local houses decked out for inaugural holiday light tour

It took Jamela Wight and her friend five days to turn her Kodiak house and yard into a winter wonderland.
There are 17 inflatables — Santa Claus, snowmen, a gingerbread man, elves, Mickey and Minnie Mouse and a character from Paw Patrol — taking up residency in her front yard on Teal Way. There are hundreds of flashing lights and regular lights strung in trees, on the porch and along the white-picket fence bordering the property. Near the driveway, there is a tree decorated with presents nestled underneath. To top it off, a festive song plays in the background.  
Last Saturday’s snowfall made the scene even more picturesque.
