Central Hardin High School senior Katelyn Windell dreams of one day becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner and when she graduates this year, she will be well on her way.
Taking dual-credit classes through Elizabethtown ComÂmunÂity and Technical College and HarÂdin County Schools Early College and Career Center, WinÂdell is on her way to earn an associate in science and an associate in arts degrees this year.
âIt gives me a lot of comfort knowing that I have such a head-start on my education,â she said. âWhen I sit down and think about it, this head-start has really helped me. I have had a lot tougher classes and a heavier workload; however, I think this has prepared me for college and the workforce.â
