Police have made an arrest in connection with multiple Wilmington bank robberies.
The Wilmington Police Department charged Elijah Muhammad McFarland, 37, on Thursday with two counts of armed robbery, according to a Thursday news release.
Police were dispatched to the Wells Fargo located at 590 S. College Road around 10:53 a.m. Thursday after McFarland allegedly approached a teller and passed a note demanding money, the release said. No weapon was shown.
The teller then handed over the cash, and McFarland allegedly left in a red Lincoln sedan. Someone got the vehicle tag and was able to provide it to police, the release said.
