UDUPI: With the budget session of the legislature scheduled to begin on February 28, chief minister BS Yediyurappa, who also holds the finance portfolio, on Tuesday said he will present the budget in the first week of March. Talk in official circles is that it will be presented on March 1 or 3.
After a temple run in Udupi, Yediyurappa told reporters the size and structure of the budget are being discussed, keeping in mind the state’s finances, which have taken a beating due to the pandemic. He said he is gearing up to present a farmer-friendly budget to ensure all-round development of the state.
