Residents of Medora were forced to evacuate as 2,276 acres were claimed by a wildfire Thursday and Friday, as local, state and federal fire services worked around the clock to save North Dakota’s tourist gem.

MEDORA, N.D. — Firefighters are reporting 85% containment on a wildfire that began on Thursday, April 1, and destroyed 2,276 acres surrounding Medora.
