Widow of police officer shot and killed by Lee Harvey Oswald

Marie Frances Tippit, widow to Officer J.D. Tippit, had been suffering from COVID-19 and other medical issues
She died at a hospital near her Sulphur Springs, Texas, home, according to retired Dallas Police Detective Rich Janich
Tippit's exact cause of death was not immediately clear 
Curtis Tippit, the youngest of the couple's three children, said that his mother started showing symptoms of COVID-19 several weeks ago 
Lee Harry Oswald killed the president in Dealey Plaza and gunned down Officer Tippit at the corner of 10th Street and Patton Avenue in Oak Cliff 
The shooting took place just 45 minutes after the assassination
