We are just weeks away from finding out who the new Mayor of Liverpool will be.
A remarkable turn of events over the past few months means that the city is facing a knife-edge election which could easily go a number of different ways.
While he denies wrongdoing, he has stepped aside from his position and will not be standing as the Labour Party candidate in the May 6 vote as he remains suspended by the party.
