Why wine lovers should look no further than Essex for chardonnay

Tasting around the Côte d’Or at the end of last year, Burgundy importer Jason Haynes repeatedly pulled a mystery bottle from his car to show to some of the hot-ticket growers he represents at Flint Wines. The wine was a still English chardonnay from Danbury Ridge in Essex. It went down a storm.
