'Why so patriarchal?' — Supreme Court raps Centre on woman coast guard officer's plea

The Supreme Court came down heavily on the Centre and the Indian Coast Guard for refusing to offer permanent commission to a woman officer. The apex court also directed the Coast Guard to come up with a policy to treat women fairly in the service.
