A former deputy governor of Ekiti State, Prof Kolapo Olusola, has asked critical stakeholders in the state to reach a consensus that power should move to Ekiti South in the next governorship election.
Prof Olusola stated this yesterday in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, while speaking on the topic: “The Development of Ekiti Past, Present and the Way Forward”, at a symposium organised by a group called PDP Peace Movement.
He argued that since the return of democracy in 1999 after many years of military rule, Ekiti South had never produced governor of the state, adding that there was need for fairness to the zone in the 2022 poll.
