DC’s “Far Sector” comic book stars a fledgling Green Lantern who’s struggling to learn the limits of her power while she’s very, very, very far from Earth. But in Mobile, Alabama, something about this story hits close to home.
From the perspective of Rando Dixon, a Black comics creator based in Mobile, “Far Sector” is proof that a creator can make it from Mobile to working for a top-tier comics brand. It’s also an example of how far some other things have come.
