Mike and I had gone grocery shopping with my five-year-old grandson. I was doing the shopping and Mike was chasing James around the store, trying to persuade him to stay with us and stop running away.
When we met up in the produce section, Mike said, “I’m exhausted! How do I keep him from running around?”

With James standing there, I said, “Stop chasing him.”
“What?!”
“Stop chasing him. As long as you’re chasing him, it’s a game. We’re the ones who keep him safe – and we have the keys and the car. It’s up to him to keep track of us.”
