As the Warriors try to figure out their identity after ugly losses to the Knicks and Jazz, their fans might want to do some thorough research on the Timberwolves.
The struggles of Minnesota, which plays Golden State at Chase Center on Monday and Wednesday, could go a long way in bolstering the Warriors’ odds of returning to contention. If the Timberwolves — owners of the league’s second-worst record through Saturday at 4-11 — finish anywhere outside the top three in the 2021 lottery, Golden State will have the privilege of picking a high-level prospect in the most loaded draft in recent memory.
