WHITEWATER REGION – Township council has approved the 2021 budget, which includes $5.5 million in capital expenditures.
The tax-supported budget, which was passed by Whitewater Region council Dec. 16, represents a municipal levy increase of 2.5 per cent with a 4 per cent decrease in operating expenses, according to a release issued by the township Dec. 17. The number of full-time staff within the township remains the same. Non-taxation revenue is expected to decrease due to COVID-19.
