Whitehaven crash leaves man with head injuries

The crash happened near Red Lonning at Whitehaven just before 2pm on Thursday.
The Great North Air Ambulance were deployed with two doctors and a paramedic on board.
The cyclist a man was left with head injuries and was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle for further treatment.
The Great North Air Ambulance was forced to land in Campus Whitehaven which serves
St Benedict's Catholic High School and Mayfield School.
The helicopter landed in between the parked cars while they treated the casualty.
The crew flew the man to Carlisle hospital in just 16 minutes.
