Whitecourt mayor reacts to restrictions' impact on town residents

Whitecourt residents are adjusting to tighter restrictions on outdoor social gatherings, schools, retail and more under measured unveiled by Premier Jason Kenney last Tuesday.
As Whitecourt surpassed 100 COVID-19 cases last Tuesday (currently at 116 by Friday), the new restrictions apply in town but not in Woodlands County, which falls under case thresholds.

“With the increase in cases we’ve seen across the province and in our community, I don’t think it came as a surprise further restrictions have been implemented,” said Mayor Maryann Chichak.
