I have been basking in the eerie glow of my laptop screen, my mind as blank as the screen before me.
My creative tap that drips a steady trickle of quirky tales has — to my dismay, dried up for now. For some reason, my mind wanders off to those times when Father’s bike refused to kick start on cold winter mornings. He was often heard saying that he needed to ‘kick it awake.’ I wonder how I could kick mine awake. Google could save the day with a few thousand hits but there is every chance that on the other side of seeking answers to my creative quest or rather the lack of it, I could get tangled in the web and browse away from my purpose.
