ANN ARBOR, MI — The University of Michigan and Washtenaw County Health Department are asking UM students to stay in place at their campus-area residences through Feb. 7.
The recommendation from the two groups – which is not an order – comes as the university has identified 175 COVID-19 cases since the start of the winter semester on Jan. 19. Fourteen of those cases are the more-contagious B.1.1.7 variant, health department officials said.
