Covid cases in Swindon have continued to rise in the past week with some days seeing more than 200 new cases confirmed within 24 hours.
The national government has now issued a country-wide lockdown to try and stop the rise across the country that has been fuelled by a new variant of Covid-19 that originated from the South East of London.
People have now been told to stay at home unless you have to travel to work, exercise or shop for essentials.
Swindon was put into Tier 3 on Boxing Day before being moved to Tier 4 on New Year's Eve before the national lockdown was officially announced.
