WISE COUNTY, Texas — Monday afternoon, the Wise County Sheriff's Office shared multiple photos of a wanted man who they identified as Royce Edward Wood, 43. They said Wood shot and wounded a Rhome police officer Sunday night.
"When we heard it was one of our own that had been shot, there was a real sense of dread that fell over us," said Wise County Sheriff Lane Akin.
