WA business leaders have urged the re-elected McGowan government to pay down debt, look to the future, address skills shortages and better align with the eastern states on national COVID-19 responses.
The state’s response to the pandemic, which is credited for its thumping win in Saturday’s election, persists as one of the key issues for the business community as the McGowan government enters its second term.
Wesfarmers chairman Michael Chaney has encouraged the state government to set up a Future Fund.
