Rajan Zed
Many faiths have some form of excommunication of a member from a religion, denomination or congregation — possibly also known as censure, discipline, disfellowship, exclusion, expulsion, imposing restrictions, putting out of communion, shunning or suspension.
Reasons may include adultery, apostacy, bestiality, boasting about supernatural powers, breaching the moral code, criticizing leaders of the organization, disagreeing with teachings, divorce, heresy, inciting sedition, involvement in polygamy, lying about spiritual gains, marriage outside the faith, murder, questioning theology, remarriage, repetition of sin, schism, sexual misconduct, sowing of dissension, teaching “false” doctrine, theft, undergoing or performing abortion, violation of covenants, etc.
