Public health bosses in Bolton have linked rocketing Covid-19 infection rates with an increase in cases among the borough's young people.
The number of new cases per 100,000 people is nearly twice as high in those aged between 10-19 compared to the rest of the population and is fuelling the current trend of rising figures, the town's director of public health has said.
