Superintendent Jennifer Curtis-Whipple will depart in February 2021.
WEYMOUTH — The school committee has selected two finalists for the job of interim superintendent to temporarily lead the district when Superintendent Jennifer Curtis-Whipple departs in February.
The committee on Thursday voted to move forward with interviewing the finalists, Kathleen Smith and William Lupini.
Smith retired as Brockton Public Schools superintendent in 2019 after a long career with the district. She has since served as the interim superintendent in Salem while they searched for a permanent superintendent.
Lupini is superintendent of the SAU 21 regional school district in New Hampshire. He previously served as the Essex Technical High School superintendent.
