Fans who have been waiting for the last installment of Westside Gunn’s infamous
Hitler Wears Hermes series can rejoice. On Wednesday (March 31), the Griselda Records leader dropped two new songs off the highly-anticipated project.
The two songs, “Julia Lang” and “TV BOY,” serve as the start of this next chapter in Westside Gunn’s lengthy 16-year career. On “Julia Lang,” Westside pays tribute to the founder of the genderless lifestyle label VEERT who also happens to appear in the music video. Westside lays waste to the Camouflage Monk-produced beat with his sharp lyrics about his fashion and wealth.
“Contemplatin’ breakin’ down a whole, dumpin’, divvy loads (Ah)/Don’t pillow talk to hoes, I’m up in Nieman’s talkin’ dope to stoves/Bathing Ape, OVO, Prada button, down to my kneecaps/I sold my first square, this shit touched my soul/Listen here,” he raps.
