Westford board waives liquor license fees for first half of 2021

WESTFORD -- With many businesses bearing the brunt of the economic crisis, the Select Board has waived all town liquor license fees for the first six months of 2021. 
The list includes all alcohol and wine and malt licenses.
However, the board noted the town is grappling with fiscal issues of its own as the coronavirus continues to take a toll both on the economy and public health.
Businesses struggle
The board voted unanimously on the measure at its Dec. 8 meeting, held virtually due to coronavirus restrictions. Payments for the second six months will come due next June.
