As the coronavirus vaccine is rolled out across Canada, timely research at Western University into measles vaccination is shedding light on the benefits of inoculation for fighting all pathogen-causing diseases including COVID-19.
“Even if you have never been infected by the novel coronavirus, due to your past exposure to other coronaviruses, you have cross-reactive immunity,” says Western researcher Mansour Haeryfar, whose theory was published this year in the in Journal of Infectious Diseases.
