They then put them in a box and took them to St Aidans Nature Reserve.
A spokesman for the West Yorkshire Police Leeds East team said: " Whilst out and about this morning local officers noticed a duck and it's duckling next to a grate in an estate in Allerton Bywater
"On closer inspection 6 out of the 7 ducklings had fallen down the grate into the drains.
"After 10 mins of getting the grate open and fishing them out we managed to get them in a box and to the nature reserve
