With the pandemic a lot has changed, including how and where you work. Many jobs have continued to allow their employees to work from home permanently and West Virginia has just launched a remote worker program.
The program is called Ascend WV, which will pay you $12,000, plus a year's worth of free outdoor recreation if you move to West Virginia.
The program is currently accepting applications for people who will commit to living in Morgantown, but Shepardstown and Lewisburg will later be included.
The program will also include abscess to free co-working space in West Virginia's mountain town; free access to outdoor gear rentals; and the ability to earn remote work certifications through West Virginia University.
