CHARLESTON — One person was confirmed as a death from the COVID-19 coronavirus Thursday morning, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources said.
The department confirmed the death of a 69-year-old man from Harrison County. The death count since the virus began last year was at 2,674 people in West Virginia, the state said.
The state reported 432 new virus cases in the 24-hour period from Wednesday to Thursday mornings. Active cases totaled 7,153, up from the 7,081 active cases on Wednesday.
