West Stanly completes sweep of South Granville in 2A softball championship

Mocksville, N.C. — One hit and one run was all West Stanly notched and all West Stanly needed in Game 2 of its softball championship series against South Granville. The Colts completed the sweep of the Vikings with a 1-0 victory on Saturday, taking home the N.C. High School Athletic Association 2A championship for the second time in as many postseasons (the Colts won the 2019 title but the 2020 postseason wasn't played).
It's the fourth softball championship for West Stanly (1997, 2013, 2019, 2021) and the third of which has come against South Granville (they've met five times in championship finals).
