West Plains, Mo. - The West Plains City Council met in regular session on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 and decided, among other issues, what company to build the inclusive playground at Peoples' Park. The city accepted bids for Indian Creek Materials for gravel and Stuart-Morrison Redi-Mix for concrete. West Plains Public Relations Coordinator Cody Sanders tells us more: The Council selected Play & Park Equipment of Chattanooga, Tn. for the playground equipment. According to Play & Park's website, the business was founded in 1976 and became a part of Playcore in 2003. Play & Park Equipment began offering inclusive playground equipment in 2016 with their PlayAbilities product line. The City Council plans to form a committee to look at equipment options for the inclusive playground in the coming weeks.
