Council chiefs in West Norfolk have been urged to work with support organisations to ensure that people who have moved to the area from EU countries can vote in forthcoming local elections.
The call was made during a borough council meeting on Thursday and follows confirmation that polls will take place as planned on Thursday, May 6.
On that date, voters will be able to choose new county councillors as well as Norfolkâs next police and crime commissioner (PCC).

The polls had been put in doubt because of the coronavirus crisis, though there are indications that candidates and parties may be able to start some socially distanced campaign activity from next week.
