West Jefferson in shock after shooting leaves four dead

People who live and work in West Jefferson expressed shock Tuesday after learning that four people had been fatally shot Monday.
West Jefferson Police Chief Christopher Floyd told reporters on Tuesday that four people were killed in the shooting late Monday afternoon — three found inside and one found outside near the entry door to an apartment house on the 100 block of Jackson Street just north of Burnham Street.
On Tuesday afternoon, police identified the victims: Andrew Thomas Swindall, 45, of West Jefferson; Shawn A. Wright, 45, and Leon Billy Daniels, 38, both of London, and Jamie Danielle Lavender, 30, Springfield.
No suspects or further information, such as which three of the dead were inside and which one was outside, was released Tuesday afternoon.
