The Alliance Review
Two West Branch High School graduates were married March 28, 2020, in California, going forward with their ceremony despite the COVID-19 pandemic and its restrictions on public gatherings.
The wedding of Jacob Frank and the former Halley Taylor originally was to include 88 guests from Ohio, but all canceled due to the coronavirus.
Four close friends, the wedding photographer who doubled as the officiant, and the couple's 4-year-old Australian Shepherd/boxer mix attended.
The couple were married in a private backyard on the Palos Verddx Peninsula in California.
“I'm thrilled despite all the last minute consequences,” said Chris Cannell, the groom's mother. “They were married and love prevailed. It speaks to the adversity they will conquer in life.”
