West Aiken Parker's Kitchen could get bigger sign

The Parker's Kitchen being constructed on the former Dick Smith property west of Aiken is eight weeks from opening and the store may get a bigger sign than allowed by Aiken's zoning ordinance. The Aiken Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend the Aiken City Council approve a waiver to allow the store to have a sign that is 100 square feet in size along the Jefferson Davis Highway (US Routes 1/78).
