(OLNEY) The Richland County TB & Health Office in Olney is reporting eight (8) new COVID-19 cases over the past seven days, since Monday, April 26th, a week ago yesterday. Sadly, the report includes the death of two individuals, a man in his 70’s and a woman in her 60’s. The new numbers posted show 1,748 positive cases involving Richland County residents, with 46 deaths, 1,692 people recovered, 17 now in quarantine due to contact, 10 current active positive cases all of which are in home isolation, and 2 people hospitalized. There have been 27,120 COVID-19 tests conducted in Richland County, with 25,372 negative test results. For COVID-19 testing, contact the Carle Convenient Care Clinic, along Illinois Route 130, just west of the Olney City Park. It’s open from 8:00 each morning until 8:00 each night, seven days a week.
