temperatures today, quickly getting into the seventies by the middle part of the morning and in the eighties. Later on this afternoon, and then we'll end up having gusts pick on up, as well as the threat for rain and storms later on tonight. So as we head through the day today, we're going to continue to watch this cold front pushed towards the east. The cloud cover will overtake the region later on this morning and into the first half of the afternoon again, a very strong southerly winds gusting at times between 15 to 30 miles an hour. And as this front gets closer to the Magnolia State, we could possibly see gusts even higher than that between 20 to 40 miles an hour at times. Now again, we'll stay on the dry note for the first half of the day. A few isolated showers and maybe a thunderstorm or two can't be ruled out before the dinner time. Our but our main threat for strong to severe thunderstorms doesn't occur until after sunset. This is around 8 to 9 o'clock. Heavy rain, lots of lightning and thunderstorm potential from the delta off towards our Mississippi River county is now. This is going to push into the Metro and along the Natchez Trace Parkway by around 10 to 12 o'clock tonight. Again heavy rain, gusty winds, lots of lightning with the system. But even as this pushes towards the south and east is going to weekend but still pack a punch when it comes to heavy rain down towards Raleigh basketball pike and, well, Paul County between midnight and two o'clock tomorrow morning. It's out of our area before daybreak, and so we'll end up starting off the morning with a few lingering showers, maybe an extra cloud cover. But what we're looking at is about probably seeing extra sunshine before lunch time, so I don't think it's really going to be holding. True to case on here, I think we're actually gonna see some sunshine by the middle part of the morning, closer to the lunchtime hour on Thursday. Now, when it comes to this event, we are looking at the chance for strong to severe thunderstorms. That's been potential and the best chance for tornadoes anywhere between Little Rock Eldorado, Louisiana, Monroe, Louisiana. Excuse me. Um, by tonight, this pushes towards the east again that front starts to weaken, but notice we're still looking at a very slight chance for seeing the potential for a broad spin up. It's not necessarily that Are wind speeds loft or stronger? It's just that they're in a different direction, which hence puts the chance for a brief spin up. Can't be ruled out. The highest thread looking to be from Clarksdale over towards Greenville. Rolling Fork, Little Rock, Arkansas, down towards Monroe, Louisiana. But all of the state really looking at seeing the threat for heavy rain, gusty winds, hail and again that's been a tornado threat can't be ruled out just yet. Now, when it comes to the rainfall, totals were looking about 1 to 3 inches with this system. But we'll have another round come through Friday into Saturday that's really going to pack a punch. And so low lying areas are going to be highly susceptible to flash flooding over the coming day. So again tonight we're looking at that threat for strong to severe thunderstorms. Temperatures in the sixties clearing early sunshine, returning by the afternoon on Thursday, highs back in the mid to low eighties and then we'll have another round of rain and storms occur Friday and Saturday, drying out by Saturday morning, so we'll have sunshine for the rest of the weekend into next week. Temperatures take a little bit of a dive, with the possible front moving through early to mid next week. That will possibly also bring another round of showers. Mhm, mhm, mhm, mhm.
