A stormy pattern begins tonight and will extend well into the Memorial Day weekend, but two rounds of storms Wednesday makes tomorrow a First Alert Weather Day. The Storm Prediction Center has placed an ENHANCED Risk of storms over northeast Arkansas and northwest Tennessee along with a SLIGHT Risk over much of eastern Arkansas south of the I-40 corridor, much of northwest Mississippi, and most of West Tennessee including Memphis and Shelby County. The potential for heavy rain, damaging wind, hail, and isolated tornadoes are the main threats of storms that will move through the Action News 5 coverage area late tonight and tomorrow afternoon and evening. The threat of strong to severe storms will remain through Sunday.
